How much have you talked to Coral?

For my part, very little. Mostly watched them interact with Spit, Thorn and the other teams out there.

They seemed pretty open to other teams, willing to talk and share experiences and thoughts.

Huh. Thorn did mention their not feeling "into it" as he put it. And yeah, a little put upon. But that might be a little understable. They might've felt annoyed at having to gear up to convince a bunch of other teams that they weren't mice.

But like I said, Briar seems to be having too much fun with it. He's got a slippery way about him. And this is apparently Pumpkin's first time playing this kind of game. He seems... earnest about it.

You don't know I'm not a mouse. If I am, I'm taking some serious risks networking like this. I have no reason not to lie low and let things go where they will. I have no reason to push for Coral going out, or protect Peridot—that kind of thing could come back to bite me in ass if I'm a mouse.

But mostly, if I were a mouse, I would be a much happier woman right now. I'd know where all the pieces were, and I guarantee you, I would be driving this game.

I seem to be the only one who feels like they're on the defensive. I admit it's subtle, but that's what I get from them—before the topic turns to the last game.

You really are - I don't read them that way. I'm with you in saying that they feel put upon, but not defensive really.

That last game left quite a nasty impression. No wonder... I hear people were torn to bits and eaten.

To me, framing it as an interrogation when they've just been asked to talk feels defensive. It feels like starting on the defensive.

. . . Or, you could be trying to influence the way I'm reading their post because you have a vested interest in seeing Coral out.

Revealing that post is a pretty big move on your part.
