Foggy's just jumpy. He's a big fan of the Avengers, so he probably got all star-struck when he first saw you.

Not that Stark doesn't have his fans, but they tend to me... creepier.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of Tony Stark. I know what he did was great and all but he's... well, I don't envy having to deal with him. He comes off as kind of a prick.

I called him a lot worse than that when I did his evaluation for SHIELD. Pretty sure Steve called him worse when they met, too. [She doesn't leave it at that, though.] He's a difficult guy, especially when you first meet him.

Doesn't surprise me. He didn't exactly seem the superhero type when he was announcing his identity on live TV.

[ Since secrecy seems to be a pretty big superhero thing... god knows, Matt values his privacy. ~~Hello Bendis is that you.~~ ]

He made a lot of people very unhappy when he did that. But it's hard to picture him doing much else.

But I wouldn't say that puts us in a different league. The Avengers aren't even in the same league. Unless you think an ex-Russian spy is on the same level as actual superheroes.

Saved the world, didn't you? Guess it doesn't matter what league you're in as long as you do that.

[ Matt may want to save people but he draws the line at that kind of scope. He sincerely hopes he never "falls in with a bad crowd" like Natasha did. ~~He'll just start his own crowd with Luke Cage and Danny Rand someday.~~ ]

Maybe next time aliens attack New York, I'll get roped into it too.

[ He really doesn't want there to be a next time, but he has to admit... it could happen. He's got a superhero name and everything. ]

[ Much as Matt might not want it to happen either, he can't completely say it won't. They live in a new world now-- one with aliens and superheroes and all sorts of crazy shit. Nothing's impossible. ]
