[Natasha shivers, finding this sensation eerie but not as entirely unpleasant as she would have expected.]

[It is a question with no real answer, or at least no necessary one. It is irrelevant whether her pet enjoys what she has been given, in the long run - eventually, she will come to relish in it.]

[Natasha is very still, containing her fear behind a still face.]

Surely you have some idea, child. [Her gray eyes stare into Natasha's, impassive and cold as the fog surrounding them. This close, she seems an unmovable object: a wall of ice, given humanoid form.] Speak them to me, if you are yet able, and I would hear them.

[Natasha isn't easily cowed, and she not the sort to shrink away from a threat, but she is cautious.

And she knows when she's faced with something bigger than her.]

Is that what you think of me? Fickle and capricious, caring only for the bodies you have left?

[She watches Natasha a moment more - then sighs, long and almost sad. Her perfect posture does not droop, but she closes her eyes before she speaks next.]

Have you ever had a pet, girl?

[That wasn't what Natasha meant, but she doesn't know just what she did mean well enough to have a real answer for her, so she doesn't try to clarify, to defend herself.

She does answer the question, though.]

No. Never had the time, or the opportunity.

Of course not. [She gestures dismissively with one hand, reopening her eyes.] Still, you will hear my words. When one brings their pet a gift, they do not only seek obedience. They wish to see a flicker of joy.

[She seems unusually pensive. With the new words said, her silence takes on new meaning - she is curious, rather than impassive.]

This form. Does it suit you?

[The curiosity in the Fog God's tone takes Natasha of guardd. Her image of the God so far hasn't been one that had an interest in whether or not the people she brought here adapted well to their changes. Some of her follows seemed to have convinced themselves that she cared, but Natasha's own impressions had been... less personally interested.

She hesitates to answer.]

That depends what you mean by suits me.

[If this weren't a dream, Natasha very likely wouldn't have even considered an honest answer. Something about the strangeness, about the curiosity in the question and the fact that lucid or no, this wasn't real inspired her to consider it though.]

I can't say I enjoy it.
