[Natasha considers that. For him... that might be a better place to start. Disarming, breaking holds, that sort of thing. He'll still need to know how to do some damage, but it can be a strong place to start.]
Not too much. Most of the time, they don't shoot back. Or they're too far away.
[ He's had to wrestle some walkers away on more than one occasion, but little chance to disarm someone outside of practice. Other people with guns didn't tend to get close enough to have them taken away. It had served him well enough when the raiders came, though. ]
[ She's imposing in the way Maggie is imposing. There's a lot of power hidden under the surface, but when it's there, it's kind of terrifying. Carl watches her for a moment, hand darting out to try and grab her wrist.
He really doesn't think she's going to allow it, but he's interested in seeing where the lesson goes. ]
[It's quick, like a magician doing sleight of hand, she twists her hand, breaking his grip as though it's easy. She doesn't stop there, either, grabbing his wrist and twisting it up behind his back in a smooth motion just enough for him to feel it sting before she lets go.]
[ He's trying to watch, but he's taken aback by how fast she does it that he's lost in it and gets distracted. There's slight pain in his wrist and she's letting go and they're back to square one. ]
Show me again. A little slower? [ He's going to get it. ]
[ As soon as her grip is around his wrist, he mimics the movements that she showed him, twisting his hand. It's a little harder than she made it look, but she's stronger and has had more practice. He's not going to beat himself up for not getting it the first few times. ]
[She could make this a lot harder than she does, but she keeps it to a level that's useful. Not so easy he doesn't learn anything, not so hard that he can't accomplish the escape with a little trying, once he he gets the technique right.
Her grip is strong, though, and her hands harder than most people expect, looking at her.]>

How 'bout I show you something?

[ He's eager to see what she can teach him. Any addition to his lacking in self-defense should be useful, and it gives him something to focus on. ]

[She's not a particularly big woman. Even if he's a kid, what makes Natasha imposing isn't her size.]

[ He lunges forward to grab her wrist, his attention on how she moves. It will be a handy move once he learns it. ]

I want to try.

[No shame if he can't do it yet but she likes that he's game to try. She doesn't waste time either, grabbing his wrist. ]

How's that feel to you?

I think I've got it. The more I practice, the better it'll be.

So you've got away. What now?
no subject
Make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else.

[Congratulations on finding a teacher who will entirely prepare you to murder people.]

It depends on what I have on me.
no subject
This is it. All you have is you. And chances are, whoever was trying to grab you isn't done yet.
no subject
[ He's guessing no, but it pays to know what he's dealing with completely. ]
no subject
[Natasha's bit completely heartless.]
no subject
*not, not bit. auto correct is awful
[Natasha crosses her eyes, pinning him with a look.]
You're going to have to be more specific than that.
