Hm. Won't lie, I'm going to go with my gut instinct since I don't know anyone enough to properly judge their motivations and strategy in such a short time-span. Not to mention some painful history from a past game -- Thorn and Spit told me about this.
Briar on Peridot's a wily kid. And he seems to be enjoying this situation far too much. Of course, he could be laying it on, just for fun. Which I'm more inclined to believe, especially since you made a good point about their voting tactics - or lack of. He seems close to Coral, and had no problem talking about their tactics. I may or may not believe him. I have the impression that if he were to lose, Coral's the team he'd want to see winning.
I've tried talking to that Pumpkin kid on Tiger's Eye, he's cagey, nervous, but gives more of a deer in the headlights feel than anything.
As for Coral, those kids look cute and innocent, but there's definitely more to them than that.
Huh. Thorn did mention their not feeling "into it" as he put it. And yeah, a little put upon. But that might be a little understable. They might've felt annoyed at having to gear up to convince a bunch of other teams that they weren't mice.
But like I said, Briar seems to be having too much fun with it. He's got a slippery way about him. And this is apparently Pumpkin's first time playing this kind of game. He seems... earnest about it.
You don't know I'm not a mouse. If I am, I'm taking some serious risks networking like this. I have no reason not to lie low and let things go where they will. I have no reason to push for Coral going out, or protect Peridot—that kind of thing could come back to bite me in ass if I'm a mouse.
But mostly, if I were a mouse, I would be a much happier woman right now. I'd know where all the pieces were, and I guarantee you, I would be driving this game.
I seem to be the only one who feels like they're on the defensive. I admit it's subtle, but that's what I get from them—before the topic turns to the last game.

. . . Maybe a little too much. How were they when you talked to them?

They also didn't see why I'd want their insight on the clue, since they're in it.

Earnest isn't usually suspicious.

[stares at her, long and hard]
Who's to say you're not a mouse yourself, anyway?

[raises his chin and smiles a little]
We'll see how the game goes, I guess.

I opened my post with Coral to everyone, if you're interested.

That last game left quite a nasty impression. No wonder... I hear people were torn to bits and eaten.

Revealing that post is a pretty big move on your part.
