<latrodectus>
Glad to hear you're back.
Glad I was there too. She took it pretty hard. No one should have to deal with something like that alone.
How are the two of you doing now?
<demilo>
[ Especially because of Emi's death-related abandonment issues. ]
were ok i think.
emis a werebear again so i guess she changed while i was gone. i wish i had been there to help
anyway right now im just laying on top of her big bear self and talking to you. im pretty sure were not gonna do anything today, just lay here together.
jake has some questions but i havent bothered answering them yet.
<latrodectus>
You two enjoy some time together. Seems like a good time to relax. You have it coming.
Other things can wait a little.
[Small, Natasha considers not adding more questions other the circumstances, but Rin did mention it.]
Don't think I know a Jake.
<demilo>
i dont know if id say were relaxing. mostly were just crying quietly so we dont bother jake too much
[ And then it occurs to Rin. Of course Natasha doesn't know who Jake is. ]
jakes one of the new people. hes 11 so I offered to let him stay with us. we were actually on our way to get him and bring him home when i died.
we arent going to eat him or anything, promise. i just felt bad leaving him with no place to stay
<latrodectus>
[Not entirely true, but close enough. She didn't consider it a serious risk. She didn't worry about the boy being with them.]
If he's that young, it's good that he's got someone to look out for him.
Does he understand what's going on?
Re: <latrodectus>
because i mean even if there good people, they still have to eat.
[Fortunately that hasn't happened. Largely due to the fact that she only has a very small number of human friends.]
he does. hes
well hes not ok with it but hes handling it better then i did when i found out
so thats something

[Maybe the kid will luck out and end up a fairy or a goblin. Things that don't have to kill to survive.
She doesn't exactly let herself get married to the idea though.]
Do you guys need anything?
no subject
it probably will though lets be honest.
[Haha NOPE. He's a future Wendigo, which not only means that he'll be constantly hungry for meat but he's gonna start to rot as well. That's gonna be fun.]
well we only have the one bed so hes sleeping in our bathtub
it might be nice if we could get him some more blankets. its a pretty big tub but it cant be that comfy to sleep in
no subject
Right. Okay.
Where are you two staying? I'll bring by a cot and a sleeping bag or something.
ok but please don't actually bring a cot, bathtub bed is too funny to me.
[Insert address here. It's one of the lower-end neighborhoods in Bavan - unlike a lot of monsters in Ryslig, Rin and Emi got their apartment through legitimate means. ie by paying rent instead of threatening to eat the landlord.
Unfortunately, since the two of them are a freelance artist and a waitress, respectively, they can't exactly afford the nicest place. There are only four rooms in the apartment - a kitchen area, a small bedroom with a single double bed, a small living area with an easel and a fold-out chair and literally no other furniture whatsoever, and a bathroom in which Jake's bed-tub is sitting.
It's... pretty shabby, and the living area has more than a few stacks of Rin's surrealist paintings. A perfect place to keep a child.]
also i just asked jake if he wanted anything and he said a gun
but um. maybe dont bring one of those.
what do american kids eat/ cereal i think/
maybe bring some cereal
No cot to be found, check. Sleeping bag go?
Bedding and food, sure.
And something to eat.
I'll be by later on this evening.
Yeah, sleeping bag is fine!
i told Jake you didnt have any guns and he said hed like some oatmeal if you can get it.
also i just wanted to say thank you. i appreciate what your doing. are you gonna be okay to walk here/ i saw on the network that you were having transformation problems
no subject
[That's a lie, but Natasha would rather have something to do than sit around and wait for her spider legs to come in all the way. She'll power through it if she has to.]
Oatmeal isn't a lot to ask, and you two have been through enough. You deserve a little looking after.
no subject
do you have the spiderbutt yet/ idk what its called but you know what i mean. the big booty part that all the legs are attached to
because if you dont and can still sit in chairs like normal then maybe you could use emis wheelchair/
[Its not a lot to offer, but it's all Rin's got. Thankfully, Emi has legs at night thanks to her wereform and she's got her running prosthetics for the daytime, so Rin is fairly confident that she'll be okay with loaning it out for however long it takes for Natasha's legs go grow out all the way.]
we have been through a lot. but i think thats just what this place does to everyone so i want to make sure your ok too.
im serious. if it hurts too much you shouldnt come. we can stop by and drop of the chair later if you want it.
it means a lot that you want to help tho. i dont really know how to deal with stuff like this but it helps to know that you care.
no subject
Looks like eight's going to be a process.
[Which is as much detail as she really wants to get into. The offer is appreciated, even if she knows she's not going to take it as long as she can grit her teeth and bear it. She knows herself.]
I appreciate the offer though. If it gets worse, I'll keep it in mind.
I won't be stupid about this.
[She's not sure how to deal with the thanks. Natasha's done her best. That's about all any of them could do.]
no subject
take the chair with you anyway. it folds up so itll be easy to take
if you dont need it you can give it back when you have your whole spider body
you helped emi and also your my friend. making you take this is the least i can do
no subject
All right, it's a deal. Just in case.
no subject
i know you have all the limbs a person is supposed to have and you do ballet so maybe the idea of being in a wheelchair is scary to you or something. but theres no shame in it, ok/
[ She's trying to help, at least. She may not know all that much about Natasha, but Rin certainly understands the problems that Emi has with being confined to a wheelchair.
Hopefully there's some overlap there, so her advice can be at least somewhat applicable. ]

no subject
not everything of course. but some stuff.
anyway i dont think it means your weak or anything if that makes you feel better about getting it
also can i ask you a question/
no subject
[She didn't promise she'd answer it, but Rin was free to ask.]
What's on your mind?
no subject
i mean of course you werent ok. things arent ok in this place
i guess what im trying to ask is how did you deal with being one
because its rlly hard for me sometimes
a lot of the time actually
i miss beign solid
no subject
It's not something I liked, or I'd call easy. Luckily, I didn't have to feed much.
But I can see why you'd have trouble with that...
I don't know if it's better or worse than spider.
no subject
my concentration keeps slipping and i keep dropping things
painting is so hard. i get rlly into it and then my paintbrush slips thru m t toes
i dropped my pencil twice typing this so far.
i hate it. i hate being like this
i wish i was still a goblin. or a human
[Note that 'goblin' came to mind before 'human.' That may or may not be a tell.]
im scared to go to the horse guy in the woods though
no subject
If you're not comfortable being a shade... human might be a little far, but you could still be something you're more comfortable with.
What has you worried?
